Purpose of the job:

To further drive towards fulfilling its mission of being a force for good, our client has decided to carefully expand its current core activities: The company will look to provide robust values-based asset management solutions to like-minded asset owners who may wish to join the firm as investors in order to benefit from the track record of outperformance and contributing to the common good. In this way our client hopes to increase the quantum of values-based invested assets.

In the role of Business development manager, you will be responsible for creating awareness of the firms added value in the field of values-based investing for German, Austrian, Swiss based institutional investors, being religious institutions, endowments, foundations and family offices. The awareness should result in like-minded asset owners wanting to invest alongside the family of entrepreneurs and jointly creating that bigger impact on a global scale.

In this team we are looking for someone that has a high degree of independency and a good network. The successful candidate likes to work for a family organisation with a deep sense of integrity and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Managing Director Business Development DACH and the Chief Client Officer with overall strategic conception and direction of the Client Solutions activities, the go-to-market strategy, and its execution in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
• Primary responsibility for identifying opportunities and develop relationships with institutional investors and investment consultants in assigned institutional market segments
• Networking and pursuing non-traditional sourcing methods to identify and reach ideal targets and trigger interest in the firms solutions and strategies
• Initiates and follows up on new business opportunities. Leverages the organization’s relationship with existing contacts by developing and executing proactive, creative and ongoing contact initiatives
• Cultivating and maintaining productive relationships with all key stakeholders to deeply understand their needs and values
• Acts as liaison to the investment management groups to ensure (pro)active and enthusiastic support for the sales and marketing process. Collaborates with the marketing and communications team on product and sales materials to ensure they are up to date and focused on the applicable presentation, conference or opportunity
• Using detailed knowledge of business development and marketing to assist the team in translating potential clients needs into a workable and profitable solution for them and the firm
• Representing the company to the German market, enabling the organisation to engage with the most senior influencers in the client universe, including speaking on behalf of the organisation at high-profile events, organizing round tables, etc.
• Contributing to a culture with constant focus on mission fulfilment and on providing values-based asset management solutions that enable the clients to be worry-free
• Acting as sounding board for senior leadership, to advise and reflect on priorities / concerns and challenging assumptions

Candidate requirements

• Relevant experience in Investment / Wealth Management or Financial Services is preferred with a minimum of 7-10 years of professional working experience.
• Must have excellent sales skills and in-depth product and broad investment knowledge
• Personality, mind-set, and long-term approach that fits well with the mission-driven approach of this initiative and with religious organisations and foundations, and an ability to inspire trust
• Ability to analyse and develop a deeply sophisticated understanding of client situations
• A pattern of excellence, both personally and professionally, demonstrated by the individual’s education, career track record, intellect, and professional reputation
• Should be a passionate, trustworthy person with a positive mind-set in representing the brand (Family / Anthos) and should embody the corporate / Family identity in values, ethics, demeanour and appearance;
• Strong communication and presentation skills and demonstrated ability to work with others
• Self-awareness, maturity, irreproachable integrity
• MBA or CFA preferred
• German native speaker, excellent level of English
• Organisational sensitivity
