Sales Manager Wholesale, Romandie

Our client is a leading global asset manager. For the growing business in Switzerland, the company is looking for a german and french-speaking Junior Sales based in Zurich. The role involves servicing clients in Romandie and German-speaking Switzerland.

Responsibilities

  • Work in close collaboration with the Head of Switzerland to implement the regional business development strategy, with a strong focus on the French-speaking Switzerland
  • Define, execute, and continuously refine sales strategies to drive growth and increase market share within the wholesale segment
  • Build and maintain a robust network of prospective and existing distribution partners, including banks, family offices, asset managers, and platforms
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through a consultative approach, driving net new sales and strengthening long-term partnerships
  • Present clear and concise product information to fund selectors, product managers, discretionary portfolio managers, and investment advisors
  • Deliver regular market and product updates through roadshows, one-on-one meetings, calls, and written communications
  • Support partners in end-client meetings to promote the firm’s brand and investment expertise
  • Plan and execute regular travel and client-facing activity across the Romandie region
  • Organize and participate in client events such as investment seminars, thematic lunches, fairs, and conferences in collaboration with internal teams and investment professionals
  • Maintain up-to-date client and prospect information in the CRM system, documenting all meetings, calls, and business opportunities
  • Monitor and analyze distributor activity and support reporting processes
  • Act as a liaison with various internal departments including Marketing, Product, Events, Communications, Legal, Middle Office, and Reporting
  • Uphold and represent the firm’s core values with the highest level of professionalism and integrity in all internal and external interactions

Candidate requirements

  • Solid understanding of investment products and financial markets, with hands-on experience in asset management
  • Proven background in the wholesale segment, with a strong grasp of the third-party distribution landscape in Switzerland, including key client channels and market players
  • Recognized track record in business development with demonstrable success in acquiring and growing client relationships
  • Confident in engaging with investment professionals such as fund selectors, discretionary portfolio managers, and client advisors
  • Energetic and driven personality, capable of working independently while remaining highly self-motivated
  • Proactive, transparent, and commercially minded, with a natural ability to build trust and rapport
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with a hands-on approach to market development and opportunity generation
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset, able to work closely with both local colleagues and cross-border teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation abilities
  • Proficient in common business software and CRM tools
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently within the region
  • Fluency in French, German and English
  • University degree (bachelor’s or master’s) in a business-related field
  • Adaptive, entrepreneurial, and solution-oriented approach to challenges and opportunities
  • An existing network of relevant contacts (banks, family offices, independent asset managers) in the region would be a strong advantage
