(Senior) Sales Wholesale I French-speaking Switzerland

Our client is a leading asset management group offering diverse investment strategies across public and private markets, supported by a large team of investment professionals. To grow and strengthen its wholesale presence in Switzerland, the company is seeking a German-speaking Sales professional to join the team in Zurich.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business development and sales across French-speaking Switzerland, focusing on Banks, Family Offices (MFOs/SFOs), Independent Asset Managers, and key wholesale distribution partners.
  • Build, manage, and expand a strong client network to generate net new sales and deepen existing relationships.
  • Promote the firm’s full range of investment solutions (Fixed Income, Equity, and Alternatives including Private Markets) through a consultative approach.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, transforming prospects into long-term clients.
  • Maintain close relationships with decision-makers such as fund selectors, discretionary portfolio managers, and product managers.
  • Organize and participate in client meetings, roadshows, investment seminars, and relevant industry events.
  • Provide regular market and product updates to clients and partners, ensuring alignment with their investment needs.
  • Train and motivate partner sales teams to drive product adoption and advocacy.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in Zurich, Geneva, and across Europe to implement regional sales strategies and share best practices.
  • Monitor client needs, market trends, and competitor activities; provide feedback to Product, Marketing, and Investment teams to optimize offerings.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, support reporting processes, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
  • Travel frequently within Switzerland and occasionally to international offices or events.

Candidate requirements

  • Sales experienced in asset management, with a strong focus on the wholesale segment in French-speaking Switzerland; exposure to French or Italian regions is an advantage.
  • Proven track record of successful business development, including client acquisition, relationship management, and asset growth.
  • Strong network of relevant contacts (banks, family offices, IAMs, platforms) highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of investment products across Fixed Income, Equity, and Alternatives (Private Markets).
  • Fluent in French and English; German or Italian is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Commercially minded, entrepreneurial, and results-driven with a hands-on approach to market development.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and able to work independently while aligning with broader regional objectives.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and standard business software tools.
  • University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently travel across Switzerland and adapt to dynamic market conditions.
