Director – Private Wealth Switzerland

Responsibilities

The Director – Private Wealth Switzerland will report to the regional leadership team and serve as a key driver in growing the firm’s private wealth presence in the Swiss market and, potentially, across the broader DACH region. The responsibilities of the Director – Private Wealth Switzerland include the following:

 

Business development & market expansion

  • Define and implement a comprehensive distribution strategy for the Swiss private wealth segment, with a focus on German-speaking Switzerland
  • Manage and deepen relationships with major financial institutions, including global banks and wealth platforms
  • Identify and acquire new partnerships across private banks, wealth managers, family offices, insurance companies, and asset managers
  • Drive net new sales, increase product penetration, and retain existing assets

 

Client & partner engagement

  • Serve as a trusted advisor for private markets solutions tailored to client needs
  • Oversee key account planning, regular meetings, sales activities, and investment presentations
  • Coordinate joint marketing and sales initiatives with strategic partners
  • Collaborate with internal teams across distribution, investments, and client services to expand engagement with key clients

 

Strategic leadership & execution

  • Represent the firm in the Swiss market and strengthen its brand and presence
  • Ensure alignment with internal functions such as product development, legal, compliance, and investment teams
  • Provide insights on market trends and client feedback to support product innovation
  • Ensure full adherence to Swiss regulatory requirements

Candidate requirements

  • University degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related fields
  • 15+ years of experience in private wealth distribution, ideally within a global asset manager or private markets environment
  • Strong network across Swiss Global Banks, wealth platforms, and private banks
  • Proven track record in driving sales, establishing new partnerships, and growing market share
  • Deep understanding of private markets, alternative investments, and wealth management product suites
  • Strong commercial mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to execute in a dynamic, high-growth setting
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills
  • Solid understanding of Swiss regulatory frameworks and wealth management business models
  • Fluency in German and English; French and Italian are an asset
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility
