Senior Family Office Acquisition – DACH (Germany & Austria)

Our client is a leading international private bank with a long-standing reputation for serving sophisticated private clients, entrepreneurial families and large wealth owners across Europe and beyond.
The firm is investing heavily in the expansion of its strategic client acquisition platform and is now building a dedicated Family Office Coverage & Acquisition Team in Zurich. This initiative represents a core growth pillar for the organisation and offers significant autonomy, visibility and commercial upside for top performers.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a high-energy, entrepreneurial, deal-driven sales professional to spearhead Family Office coverage in Germany and Austria, leveraging Zurich as the regional hub.
This role is ideal for a true hunter – someone with sharp instincts, strong commercial drive, and a deep understanding of sophisticated wealth owners and their needs. It is designed for a professional who loves opening doors, building relationships from scratch, creating momentum, and converting prospects into meaningful strategic clients.
Candidates may come from Private Banking, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Private Markets, Asset Management, Investment Banking, or Family Office advisory environments – what matters most is the DNA of a rainmaker, not the title on the business card.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Build, expand and own relationships with German and Austrian Family Offices, UHNWIs, entrepreneurial families, multi-family offices and private investment vehicles.
  • Act as one of the driving forces in creating a new high-performing DACH acquisition platform within the international private bank.
  • Identify, prioritise and convert high-potential prospects through structured, targeted sales activity.
  • Craft strong value propositions across investment solutions, capital markets, bespoke mandates, private market opportunities and broader banking services.
  • Coordinate closely with product specialists, capital markets, structuring, lending, investment advisory and private markets teams to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline and ensure professional, disciplined follow-up and client management.
  • Become a visible representative of the bank in key German and Austrian business networks, conferences, industry forums and Family Office circles.
  • Provide strategic market intelligence to refine the firm’s DACH expansion efforts.
  • Act as a team player and culture carrier in shaping a new, entrepreneurial acquisition team in Zurich.

Candidate requirements

  • 7–15+ years of experience in front-office sales, business development or coverage roles involving UHNW, Family Offices, institutional or sophisticated private clients.
  • Demonstrated hunter mentality – thrives on acquisition, prospecting, deal-making and opening new relationships.
  • Proven network OR the ability to build and scale one rapidly across German and Austrian Family Offices and entrepreneurial wealth owners.
  • Ability to articulate complex investment solutions clearly and convincingly, across both public and private markets.
  • Strong commercial instincts paired with the credibility to engage principals, CIOs, investment executives and senior decision-makers.
  • High level of energy, resilience and ownership; comfortable with ambitious targets and a dynamic, performance-driven culture.
  • Native-level German, fluent English; additional languages welcome.
  • Willingness to travel across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
