Family Office Sales Manager - DACH

Our client, an international investment firm, is seeking to strengthen its presence across the DACH region by hiring an experienced Family Office Sales Manager. The role focuses on developing and expanding relationships with family offices, foundations, endowments, and other semi-institutional clients, with the objective of driving new business and increasing market penetration.
The ideal candidate brings a strong network, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to engage sophisticated investors across one or several DACH markets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for the DACH region in close alignment with senior leadership.
  • Identify, originate, and cultivate new relationships with family offices and other semi-institutional investors.
  • Explore both traditional and non-traditional sourcing channels to reach key decision makers and generate new business opportunities.
  • Lead the full sales cycle from initial contact to onboarding, ensuring a structured and proactive follow-up process.
  • Build a deep understanding of client objectives, investment constraints, and long-term needs.
  • Collaborate closely with investment teams to ensure seamless information flow and strong product support.
  • Work with marketing and communications to maintain effective and up-to-date sales materials.
  • Translate client requirements into suitable investment solutions alongside internal teams.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client roundtables across the region.
  • Act as a sparring partner for senior leadership, contributing market intelligence and strategic insights.

Candidate requirements

  • 7–10+ years of relevant experience in asset management, wealth management, or broader financial services.
  • Proven track record in sales or business development with strong access to family offices and/or semi-institutional investors in the DACH region.
  • Excellent understanding of investment products and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and build long-term partnerships.
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and maturity.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global teams.
  • MBA, CFA, or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
  • Native-level German and excellent English required.
